Many people ask why our greeting cards are blank and there is a very good reason why they’re blank. Once upon a time before computers and even typewriters were around, people wrote by hand. Their handwriting/calligraphy was absolutely exquisite as many of you probably have seen before. Most people now rely far too heavily on the computer to do all the writing for them or rely on prewritten messages that the uniqueness of putting your own thoughts written by your own hand is rare.

For those with poor handwriting you can simply follow these creative tips to add that special personal touch to all your messages:

  1. Type it in your computer and print it out, then cut the message out into a festive shape.
  2. Write out your message with a pencil lightly then go over it with a pen. Don’t forget to erase the pencil writing.
  3. Get a small ruler out and use it to guide your writing so that the lines come out straight.
  4. Pencil in rules lightly so that you have guidance to where to write, then simply erase the pencil lines afterwards.
  5. You can even use different colored pens or markers to write your special message to give it that extra flare you want.
  6. Need writing inspirations? You can find many great quotes online (http://www.quotationspage.com) that can go perfectly with whatever message you’re putting in your card.

Happy writing!
